My paper

Uggh! I’m in the process of re-writing my thesis–possibly. After writing so much I actually came to think I should take up the opposite argument that I was proposing. I’m wondering if this could be a big mistake and cause me more headaches in the long run. My thesis was about how traditions can stop you from being a sovereign or independant thinker, and how it can stop you from questioning these traditions. What I’m thinking is that some situations, being a common thinker or a follower helped to focus and bond the family to help in dealing with living in harsh conditions. This is what I think is fundamentaly correct, but I’m wondering how to fit in the examples from Percy. I guess I just have to get over this conception that an expert thinker is good and common is bad. It depends on the situation.

At least you have found, not one, but two choices, either of which would work. Sometimes, that’s the best you can hope for.

True, I had this idea in my head previously as an oppositional point of view, but I heard this on the radio and it made me question my thought process again.
